Bhubaneswar, Sept 26 [UDN}:A District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) meeting was held today to review and approve the selection of beneficiaries under the Chief Minister Handloom Development Scheme (MHBYS), implemented by the Department of Handlooms, Textiles and Handicrafts.
The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to eligible weavers and handicraft artisans in the district, helping them become economically self-reliant and strengthen their livelihoods. It also seeks to promote and preserve the region’s traditional handloom and handicraft heritage by extending necessary support to artisans engaged in these sectors.
During the meeting, the beneficiary selection process and proposals for approval under the scheme were reviewed.
