17th February 2025: A tremor struck Puri, Odisha, this morning, following a similar incident in New Delhi. The earthquake hit at 8:02 AM with a magnitude of 4.7 on the Richter scale, with Puri being the epicenter. The shaking was also felt in parts of Odisha, as well as in Bihar and Haryana.
Residents in the affected areas reported brief tremors, which caused some panic, but there have been no immediate reports of significant damage or injuries. The earthquake occurred shortly after another tremor was felt in New Delhi at 5:36 AM.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation, and citizens are urged to stay calm and adhere to safety protocols.
