Bhubaneswar, July 3 (UDN): Passengers travelling between Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and West Bengal have reason to cheer as the East Coast Railway has extended the services of the popular Shalimar–Charlapalli Special Train through July.
The decision comes in response to strong passenger demand, ensuring that thousands of commuters, families, students, and business travellers continue to have access to an additional weekly train on this busy route.
For passengers in Odisha, the extension is particularly significant as the train will continue to stop at six stations under the East Coast Railway, making travel more convenient and improving connectivity to neighbouring states.
Railway officials said the move aims to accommodate the growing number of passengers while easing pressure on regular train services. The extension is expected to provide greater flexibility for those planning work trips, family visits, and other journeys during the month.
