Malkangiri, Aug 17 [UDN}: A district-level executive body meeting of the Education Department was held on Friday at the meeting hall of the District Education Officer’s office in Malkangiri. The meeting was chaired by Additional District Education Officer (AEO) Bhagirathi Behera.
District Welfare Officer A. Srinivas Achary, District Science Inspector Jagannath Behera, Malkangiri Block Education Officer Mamata Sahu, Chitrakonda BEO Gayatri Devi, Khairput BEO Dilip Kumar Ganda, Korukonda BEO Asit Kumar Mistry and District Physical Education Officer Kartik Chandra Behera attended the meeting as guests.
District JRC Officer Niranjan Maharana, Sharata Das, Prashant Buruda and nodal headmasters and headmistresses from different blocks were also present.
The meeting was held under the guidance of District Education Officer Chittaranjan Panigrahi and Additional District Education Officer Manjulata Bhoi. Participants discussed measures to improve the functioning and performance of various educational and co-curricular branches across the district.
District Physical Education Officer Kartik Chandra Behera presented the annual report of district sports activities. District JRC Officer Niranjan Maharana presented the annual report of the Junior Red Cross, while District Scout Guide Joint Secretary Sharata Das presented the annual report of the Scout and Guide wing. District NCC Head Prashant Buruda presented the annual report of NCC activities.
The officials discussed strategies to further improve the performance of these wings and ensure that the progress achieved at the district level is effectively implemented at the block level. Presiding officer Bhagirathi Behera stressed the need for greater attention towards strengthening implementation and ensuring better performance across all blocks.
The meeting was conducted by Senior JRC Devraj Sethi. Senior JRC Dinabandhu Bej proposed the vote of thanks.
