Nabarangpur: July 7 {UDN}:The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll is progressing rapidly across Nabarangpur district as per the directions of the Election Commission. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are conducting door-to-door visits to distribute enumeration forms to eligible voters.
So far, 5,95,907 voters have received the enumeration forms, covering 69.42% of the district’s total electorate. Constituency-wise distribution stands at 63% in Umarkote, 74% in Jharigaon, 71% in Nabarangpur, and 68% in Dabugaon.
To ensure a clean and error-free electoral roll, BLOs are not only distributing the forms but also guiding voters on how to fill them correctly. After collecting the completed forms, acknowledgement receipts are being issued to the voters.
The drive is being closely monitored through regular field inspections by the Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs). Under the direct supervision of Dr. Maheshwar Swain, Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Biswajit Chandra Barman and Sub-Collector Prakash Kumar Sethi are regularly reviewing the work of supervisors and field officials.
The District Collector has appealed to all eligible voters to actively participate in this important revision process and cooperate in preparing an accurate and updated electoral roll.
