First Bullet Train in India Likely to Start Operations Next Year; New Route Announced as Government Accelerates High-Speed Rail Connectivity Across the Country

Delhi, July 21 [UDN}:  India’s first bullet train will soon run on the tracks. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced that construction of the country’s first high-speed rail corridor between Mumbai and Ahmedabad is progressing rapidly. He said that the first section of the Mumbai–Ahmedabad Bullet Train project is expected to become operational next year.
