Kendrapara, July 31 (UDN): The flood situation in Odisha’s Kendrapara district has become a concern as rising waters of the Brahmani River have affected nearly 1.5 lakh residents, with Pattamundai emerging as one of the worst-hit areas.
Floodwaters have entered several low-lying areas, impacting daily life and creating difficulties for communities across the region. Many residents are facing challenges due to waterlogging, disrupted connectivity, and limited movement.
The district administration is closely monitoring the situation and has intensified preparedness measures to support affected people. Relief teams are assessing ground conditions and ensuring that essential assistance reaches vulnerable communities.
The flooding follows continuous monsoon activity and rising river levels in parts of Odisha. Authorities are keeping a close watch on the Brahmani River and other water bodies to respond quickly to any further changes.
Residents in vulnerable areas have been advised to remain cautious and follow safety guidelines issued by local authorities.
Officials are continuing efforts to manage the flood situation, provide relief support, and restore normalcy in affected parts of Kendrapara.
