Former Padampur Legislator Satyabhushan Sahu Passes Away; His Demise Casts a Gloom Over the Region

Bargarh, Aug 29 [UDN}: Senior Congress leader from the Padampur Assembly constituency and three-time former MLA Satyabhushan Sahu has passed away. He breathed his last at the age of 75 while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar, according to reports.

Satyabhushan Sahu was a veteran Congress leader who made a significant contribution to the political landscape of Padampur and the Bargarh district. He was elected to the Odisha Legislative Assembly from the Padampur constituency on a Congress ticket in 1980, 1985 and 2004, serving as an MLA on three separate occasions.

During his political career, he also held an important legislative responsibility. From 2004 to 2006, he served as the Chief Whip of the Congress Legislature Party in the Odisha Legislative Assembly.

News of his demise has cast a pall of gloom over Padampur as well as the entire Bargarh district. Leaders from various political parties, along with people from different sections of society, have expressed deep grief over the death of the veteran politician. They paid tribute to his contribution to public life and prayed for the eternal peace of his departed soul.

Several political, social and cultural circles have mourned his passing, describing it as a significant loss to the region. Leaders and members of the public have also conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that they find strength to bear this irreparable loss.
