Government Sets March 2027 Deadline for Completion of Ambitious Godabarisha School Project.

Bhubaneswar, July 13 [UDN}:The construction of Godabarisha Mishra Model Primary Schools will be taken up on a priority basis. A total of 7,000 model primary schools will be established across Odisha. In the first phase, 2,200 schools will be constructed and completed by March 2027.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi issued these directions while reviewing the progress of the Godabarisha Mishra Model Primary School project.
During the review meeting held at Lok Seva Bhavan, the Chief Minister expressed dissatisfaction over delays in the process of identifying land for the schools. He stated that while there may be some challenges in acquiring land in coastal districts, there should not be any difficulty in securing land in other districts.
For the construction of mega campuses, five acres of land will be required. Panchayats have been asked to give priority to identifying and allocating five-acre plots for the project.
The Chief Minister further clarified that in cases where schools have less than five acres of land, adjacent government land or even private land may be acquired and utilized for the expansion and development of the schools.

He urged all officials to treat the initiative with seriousness and achieve the targets within the stipulated timeframe. He added that if the administration works with commitment and efficiency, the project goals can be achieved successfully.
