Govt Allocates INR 4,000 Crore for Disaster Management

26th March 2025: In the current budget, the government has allocated ₹4,000 crore for effective disaster management, ensuring the safety of citizens across the country.

A significant portion of this budget is directed towards the State Disaster Risk Mitigation Fund (SDRMF) and the National Disaster Risk Mitigation Fund (NDRMF).

The SDRMF has been allocated ₹2,600 crore, while the NDRMF will receive ₹1,400 crore. This allocation is aimed at enhancing disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts, safeguarding lives, and improving resilience against natural calamities.
