Grand Opening of Kandhamal Lok Mahotsav and Trade Fair Showcases Rich Cultural Heritage and Boosts Local Trade in Kandhamal

Phulbani, April 14:  The second Kandhamal Lok Mahotsav and Trade Fair 2026 will commence tomorrow at Coronation Ground in Phulbani and will continue for 12 days till April 19.
The festival aims to preserve the art, culture, and traditions of Kandhamal district while promoting trade and spreading the message of brotherhood and harmony. The event will be held from April 8 to April 19 at the Coronation Ground in Phulbani town.
During the fair, from 4 PM to 10 PM daily, there will be various commercial stalls from within and outside the district, including automobile displays, household items, Mina Bazaar, and a variety of delicious street foods. Special arrangements like water fountains and other attractions have also been made.
In the evenings, colorful cultural programs, including tribal folk dances and performances, will be आयोजित for visitors.
The organizing committee has invited people to attend and enjoy the festival with their families. Committee President Sunil Pattnaik, Working President Radhamohan Mohapatra, Vice Presidents Sujit Kumar Behera, Prasanna Kumar Swain, Mohammed Chisti, Cultural Secretary Ashok Mohanty, Joint Secretary Muskan Suar, and other members have extended the invitation.
