Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign to Be Organized Across Odisha, Bringing People Together to Honour the National Flag, Unity and the Spirit of Independence

Bhubaneswar,  Aug 14 [UDN}:The Odisha government will organise the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ (Tricolour at Every Home) campaign across the state from August 13 to August 17, under the aegis of the Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department.
Culture Minister Suryabanshi Suraj announced the campaign at a press conference, stating that the initiative is being conducted under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. Each district has been provided ₹10 lakh to ensure successful implementation.
A total of 60 lakh national flags will be prepared and distributed across Odisha. So far, around 45.40 lakh flags have already been prepared. As many as 1,053 Mission Shakti women and 12,471 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) have been engaged in flag production and related activities. The department has also provided ₹15 crore to the Mission Shakti Department for manufacturing the flags.
As part of the celebrations, a state-level Tiranga rally will be organised on Sunday from Hatiasuni Ground to Lumbini Vihar Road under the Sports and Youth Services Department.
On August 15, the state-level Independence Day celebration will be held. The Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi will also organise a patriotic music programme titled ‘Bharatiyam’ at Rabindra Mandap.
Citizens can participate in the campaign digitally from August 9 to August 17 by uploading their photographs on the Har Ghar Tiranga portal and downloading a digital certificate. People can also participate in an online quiz through the MyGov portal.
The press conference was attended by Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department Secretary Dr. Bijay Ketan Upadhyay, Sahitya Akademi Secretary Dr. Chandrasekhar Hota, Deputy Director Dr. Debayani Bhuyan, among others.
