Kendughat, Sept 29 [UDN}:The Health Department has taken immediate steps following reports of fever and vomiting-diarrhoea cases in Kendughat village.
To ascertain the cause of the illness and assess the health condition of the affected people, a four-member team of specialist doctors visited the village and examined the patients. Blood and water samples were also collected for laboratory testing to identify the possible source and nature of the infection.
Treatment of the affected patients is currently underway. The Health Department is maintaining continuous surveillance of the situation and monitoring the health condition of the patients and the overall situation in the village. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the medical examinations and test reports.
