Health Officials Launch Pulse Polio Awareness Drive in Kotpad, Urging Communities to Participate Actively in the Nationwide Immunization Campaign

Kotpad, June 30 {UDN}:: A Pulse Polio awareness campaign was formally launched at the Kotpad Community Health Centre with the flagging off of a public awareness vehicle aimed at encouraging maximum participation in the immunization drive.

The awareness rally was inaugurated in the presence of Community Health Centre Medical Officer Dr. Biswajit Mallik, Dr. Mokshaprad, Public Health Extension Officer Rahel Kadam, BPM Ambujini Barik, BAM Himanshu Sekhar Nayak, Narasingha Sahu, Brahmananda Swain, Prakash Adhikari, Ananda Behera, and other health officials and frontline workers.

The campaign will be conducted from June 28 to June 30, 2026, with Pulse Polio drops to be administered to all children aged 0–5 years at Anganwadi centres across the Kotpad area. Health officials stated that the immunization drive will continue for about a week to ensure that every eligible child is covered.

The primary objective of the awareness vehicle is to spread information among the public, motivate parents to bring their children for vaccination, and achieve 100% immunization coverage. Health authorities have urged all parents and guardians to ensure that every child below five years of age receives the life-saving polio vaccine during the campaign.
