Bhubaneswar,31st May 2025: Hindalco Industries Limited, part of the Aditya Birla Group, has launched Project Basudha in 16 villages of Hirakud, Sambalpur district, aiming to transform the lives of local farmers. This initiative focuses on sustainable agriculture, livestock development, and increasing farmers’ incomes.
In partnership with the BAIF Institute for Sustainable Livelihoods and Development, the project is already making a positive impact by introducing better farming methods, encouraging crop diversity, and promoting scientific livestock care.
Debasish Malik, Unit Head of Hindalco Hirakud Complex, said, “Our work goes beyond health and education — we are deeply committed to empowering farmers and ensuring the overall well-being of the community. This holistic approach is about creating lasting progress for the people we serve.”
