Indravati Brand Products Gain Popularity in London with Growing Demand for Jaggery, Millet and Turmeric Items

Nabarangpur, May 29: Products prepared by Self-Help Groups under the “Indravati Brand,” including turmeric, jaggery, maize, and millet-based items, are witnessing increasing demand in faraway London. Members of the Odia diaspora there are showing a strong preference for these traditional products. Women have also created reels featuring the products and uploaded them on social media platforms.

Officials stated that steps will be taken to expand the sales of ORMAS products in London. Deputy Executive Officer Roshan Kartik informed that efforts are underway to introduce and promote these products on a larger scale in the international market.

According to Mr. Kartik, Nabarangpur native Vibhuti Pattanayak is currently residing in London. A few days ago, he visited Nabarangpur along with several people from London, Nigeria, and China. While returning abroad, they carried ORMAS products with them, including turmeric, jaggery, maize and millet-based food items, along with lemongrass oil.

These products received an enthusiastic response from Odias living in London, who appreciated both their quality and traditional taste. Initiatives have now begun to market and sell Nabarangpur-made products in London. In this regard, communication has already been established with the Chief Executive Officer of ORMAS to strengthen future efforts.
Preparations are also continuing to launch sales activities in London from July 8 onward.
