Investment Facilitation Gets Boost in Jharsuguda as District-Level Single Window Clearance Authority Reviews Pending Proposals and Development Initiatives

Jharsuguda:Aug 6 [UDN}: A meeting of the District-Level Single Window Clearance Authority (DL-SWCA) was held under the chairmanship of District Collector Kunal Motiram Chandra. The meeting focused on accelerating industrial development in the district by promoting new investments and strengthening industrial infrastructure.
During the meeting, members of the committee held detailed discussions on several key proposals aimed at encouraging industrial growth, improving the investment climate, and facilitating the establishment of new manufacturing units in Jharsuguda.
The committee formally approved industrial proposals worth ₹102.42 crore. These approved projects are primarily related to the manufacturing of refractory materials, industrial gas bottling units, and glass manufacturing. The approval of these projects is expected to significantly contribute to the district’s industrial expansion and economic progress.
Officials stated that once these industrial projects become operational, they are expected to generate approximately 1,296 direct and indirect employment opportunities. The creation of these jobs will provide livelihood opportunities for local residents, strengthen the district’s economy, encourage skill development, and support sustainable industrial growth.
The meeting was attended by Jharsuguda Sub-Collector Sabyasachi Panda, General Manager of the District Industries Centre (DIC) Arindam Pradhan, representatives of the Odisha State Pollution Control Board, the departmental head of IDCO Sambalpur, the Jharsuguda Tahsildar, the Kolabira Tahsildar, the Executive Engineer of Tata Power, along with senior officials from various government departments.
The District-Level Single Window Clearance Authority plays a crucial role in ensuring faster approval of industrial projects, reducing procedural delays, improving the ease of doing business, and attracting investments that contribute to the overall industrial and economic development of Jharsuguda district.
