Jeypore,Oct 14 [UDN}: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) State Vice-President Ravi Nanda has demanded the immediate resumption of the government-operated Volvo bus service connecting Jayapure with Hyderabad, alleging that the service was discontinued in the interest of private bus owners.
Nanda said the government Volvo bus service had been providing an important and convenient transportation option for people travelling between Jeypore and Hyderabad. Its discontinuation has caused inconvenience to the general public, particularly passengers who depend on affordable and reliable long-distance transport.
He urged the authorities to restore the service at the earliest in the larger public interest and ensure that transportation facilities are not curtailed to benefit private operators.
