Jharsuguda:June 11:As per the directions of the State Election Commission, the “Special Intensive Revision” programme currently underway across Odisha is progressing extensively in Jharsuguda district as well. In this context, the district administration has shown active preparedness in the Jharsuguda Assembly constituency.
Out of the district’s total 4,38,433 voters, around 28 percent have already been covered under this process.
To ensure the successful and speedy implementation of the Special Intensive Revision programme, Additional District Magistrate (General) Shri Brajabandhu Bhoi has been visiting various polling booths under the 06-Brajarajnagar Assembly constituency and directly reviewing and supervising the distribution of enumeration forms.
Similarly, Sub-Collector and Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) of 07-Jharsuguda, Sabyasachi Panda, has also inspected the process at various booths in the Jharsuguda municipal area.
During this period, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are distributing enumeration forms to voters for collecting updated information. Door-to-door distribution of these forms is continuing to ensure that every voter in the constituency is reached. So far, a total of 1,22,761 enumeration forms have already been distributed across the district.
In various parts of the district, including tribal-dominated and remote areas as well as urban and rural regions, BLOs are continuing the work of distributing forms and collecting information by visiting every household.
To make the electoral roll transparent, error-free, and updated, Booth Level Agents appointed by local political parties are also extending full cooperation to the BLOs at the field level.
