Cuttack, March 26: Justice Harish Tandon took the oath as the 35th Chief Justice of the Odisha High Court on Wednesday. The oath was administered by Odisha’s Governor, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, at a ceremony held at the High Court premises, attended by judges and bar members.

Justice Tandon’s appointment was recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium on March 6, 2025, and the central government confirmed it on March 21, 2025.
Before his elevation to the Chief Justice position, Justice Tandon served at the Calcutta High Court, gaining extensive experience in judicial matters. His expertise and reputation as a skilled and fair judge were acknowledged in the recommendation, highlighting his high integrity and professional conduct.
Justice Tandon’s appointment is expected to further strengthen the judiciary in Odisha.
