Kendujhar, 25 March 2025: The long-awaited cancer hospital in Kendujhar is in its final stages of construction and is scheduled to open in April 2025. The hospital aims to provide advanced cancer care, including chemotherapy, to patients from Kendujhar and nearby districts.
The project, approved by the Central Government’s Atomic Energy Research Board and endorsed by the Odisha Government, is being funded with ₹38 crore from the District Mineral Foundation (DMF). Designed by a team from Mumbai’s Tata Memorial Hospital, the facility is now nearing completion and will soon offer essential cancer treatment services to the local community.
