Koraput Launches New Bus Service to Ayodhya and Prayagraj

Koraput, 27th Jan: In an exciting development, the Odisha government has launched a new bus service connecting Koraput with Ayodhya and Prayagraj. The service was inaugurated on Monday at a ceremony held in Koraput, attended by local MLA Raghuram Mach, District Collector VK Kirti Bhusan, and RTO Rajesh Marandi. The dignitaries performed a traditional ritual to mark the start of the journey.

This state-run bus service, operated by OSRTC, will travel from Koraput to Ayodhya, Varanasi, and the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, with a return route back to Koraput. According to DTM Srinivas Panigrahi, the service is scheduled to run five times a month until February 24th.

Ticket prices are set at Rs 6,900 for men and Rs 4,200 for women, covering the cost of travel, accommodation, and meals. The launch of this service is expected to enhance travel convenience for devotees and tourists alike. The event was also attended by Koraput District Council Chairperson Sasmita Meleka, Koraput Municipality Chairperson Lalat Ranjan Sethi, and other district officials, who expressed their support for the initiative.
