Koraput , Nov 3 (UDN): Koraput BJP MLA Raghuram Machha has taken a strong stand on the Kotia territorial issue, issuing a firm warning that Andhra Pradesh cannot conduct elections in Kotia, which he asserted is an integral part of Odisha and will remain so.
Expressing his strong opposition to Andhra Pradesh’s electoral activities in the disputed border region, the Koraput MLA categorically stated that Kotia belongs to Odisha and that only elections conducted by the Odisha government should be held in the area.
He said Andhra Pradesh is free to conduct elections within its own territorial boundaries, but it cannot organise elections in Kotia. Reaffirming Odisha’s claim over the region, Raghuram Machha maintained that Kotia is Odisha’s territory and that its administrative and electoral activities should remain under the authority of the Odisha government.
