Koraput, Oct 17 [UDN}: The Koraput Regional Transport Office (RTO) distributed free helmets to two-wheeler riders in Kotpad as part of an initiative to promote road safety and raise awareness about the importance of wearing helmets while riding motorcycles and scooters. The initiative aims to encourage safe driving practices, reduce the risk of serious head injuries in road accidents, and motivate people to follow traffic rules. Through such public awareness programmes, the transport department seeks to strengthen road safety measures and foster a culture of responsible driving among commuters across the region.
