Korapu, Oct 1 [UDN}:The Varanasi-Ayodhya pilgrimage from Koraput under the Fourth Senior Citizen Tirtha Yatra Scheme was organised today at the District Culture Bhawan in Koraput.
On the occasion, the Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) flagged off the pilgrimage, formally marking the beginning of the journey for the participating senior citizens.
The pilgrimage is being organised to provide senior citizens from Koraput district an opportunity to visit the important religious destinations of Varanasi and Ayodhya under the state-supported pilgrimage programme.
