Mahaprabhu’s Land Properties Spread Across India and Pakistan to Be Traced and Identified, Says Law Minister Amid Heritage Protection Efforts

Bhubaneswar,  Sept 11 [UDN}:The Odisha government has decided to identify and document land and property belonging to Mahaprabhu, including properties located in different states across India and even in Pakistan, the Law Minister said. The initiative aims to ascertain the exact extent, location and status of the temple’s landholdings and ensure that all such properties are properly recorded and protected.

According to the Law Minister, efforts will be undertaken to identify properties associated with Mahaprabhu in various parts of the country, along with any landholdings that may exist in Pakistan. The exercise is expected to help the authorities establish accurate records of the properties, examine their present status and take appropriate steps for their protection and management.

The identification process is likely to cover land and other properties belonging to Mahaprabhu that may have been registered or donated in different locations over the years. The government’s move is aimed at safeguarding the religious institution’s property and preventing encroachment, illegal occupation or disputes over ownership.

The Law Minister said that a comprehensive assessment of such properties would be undertaken so that the government can have a clear picture of Mahaprabhu’s landholdings both within Odisha and outside the state, including properties located in other parts of India and Pakistan.
