Bhubaneswar, Sept 11 [UDN}:Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held high-level discussions in the United Arab Emirates as part of the state government’s efforts to explore new investment opportunities and strengthen industrial partnerships between Odisha and the UAE.
During the visit, the Chief Minister met UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri and held direct discussions on the possibilities of expanding economic cooperation, attracting UAE-based investors and promoting business partnerships in Odisha.
The talks focused on investment opportunities across several industrial sectors, with the Odisha government highlighting the state’s favourable business environment, industrial infrastructure and potential for large-scale investments. Discussions were also held with investors on opportunities for collaboration in emerging and established sectors.
The Chief Minister particularly invited UAE investors to explore Odisha’s strong aluminium industry ecosystem and the significant opportunities available in downstream aluminium industries. The state’s existing industrial base and availability of raw materials were projected as key advantages for investors looking to establish manufacturing and value-added units.
The Odisha delegation also held discussions with representatives of the Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC), focusing on strengthening business-to-business engagement and creating new avenues for investment and industrial cooperation.
The UAE engagements are aimed at showcasing Odisha as an attractive investment destination and building stronger international partnerships that can contribute to industrial growth, employment generation and economic development in the state.
