Nabarangpur,Sept 16 [UDN}:: The team behind the upcoming Odia film ‘Maliput Melodies’, a distinctive cinematic portrayal of tribal traditions, literature, culture and rural life, held an interaction and meet-up with artists and content creators in Nabarangpur as part of its promotional campaign.
The film is scheduled to be released on September 18 in various cinema halls across the undivided Koraput region. The promotional visit aimed to connect the film team with local artists, musicians, performers and digital content creators and seek their support in taking the film to a wider audience.
A special gathering was organised in Nabarangpur in connection with the film’s promotion. Telefilm director Manoj Kumar Pattnaik, who attended the programme as the chief guest, appealed to artists and art lovers across the undivided Koraput region to watch the film with their families at local cinema halls.
Actress and lecturer Sanjukta Panda, senior actors Jayanta Santra and Mohammad Sharif, along with Shishir Das, Chandan Sahu and music director Tas Nanda, were among the guests who shared their views about the film.
Devadas Mahankud, a member of the Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi and theatre director, extended his best wishes to the entire Maliput Melodies team and expressed hope that the film would receive appreciation from audiences.
Several prominent artists from Nabarangpur district attended the gathering and conveyed their support for the film. Music directors Tiki Suna, Suresh Mohanty and Jugal Tripathy, singers Seema Panigrahi and Dilip Panigrahi, actors Manas Panda, Bulu Padhi, Tusharkanti Khosla, Nirmal Sahu and Shankar Nayak, social worker and actor G. Ravi Prasad, child actor Ruhani Panda, instrumental music director Muna Mahendra, video editor Chandan Bahadur and flautist A. Santosh, among others, were present.
Senior actor Jayanta Santra spoke about the film’s attempt to bring alive the distinctive flavour of the literature, culture and traditions of the undivided Koraput region. He highlighted the cultural identity embedded in the film and the effort to present the region’s heritage through cinema.
The film team also held discussions with prominent content creators from Nabarangpur on strategies to expand the film’s reach among audiences. Young music director Anand Das and young singer Shiva Prasad Mahapatra, along with other content creators, assured the team of their cooperation in promoting the movie through their respective platforms.

Maliput Melodies features senior artists Jayanta Santra, Shishir Das, Sushama Mishra, Mohammad Sharif, Bulu Sarangi, Narendra Pattnaik, Chandan Sahu, Dibya Behera, Ashutosh Pal and Dhan Harijan, among others.
The film has been produced by Kaushik Das, with Ramprabha Pattnaik and Kaustav Das serving as co-producers. Tas Nanda has written the songs and handled the music direction, while Bishal Pattnaik has directed the film.
The promotional and interaction programme was coordinated by young music director Anand Das and young vocalist Shiva Prasad Mahapatra.
With its focus on tribal culture, regional traditions, literature and the everyday life of the undivided Koraput region, Maliput Melodies is set to reach cinema audiences from September 18.
