Bhubaneswar, Aug 11 [UDN}:A meeting chaired by the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo at his office chamber in Lok Seva Bhawan. The meeting focused on promoting the widespread use of energy-efficient appliances in government buildings across the state, particularly in the initial phase.
Detailed discussions were held with departmental officials on measures to conserve electricity, ensure efficient energy management, reduce energy consumption, and accelerate the achievement of sustainable development goals through the adoption of energy-efficient technologies and appliances in government establishments.
The meeting was attended by Maharaja of Mayurbhanj, Shri Praveen Chandra Bhanj Deo; Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy Department, Shri Vishal Dev; Principal Secretary of the Works Department, Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh; along with senior officials and other departmental officers.
The initiative is aimed at promoting responsible and efficient energy use in government infrastructure, reducing electricity consumption and expenditure, and strengthening the state’s efforts towards sustainable and environmentally responsible development.
