Meritorious Students Honoured by District Collector for Outstanding Performance in +2 Exams Across Science, Arts and Commerce Streams

Nabarangpur, May 26:Students who secured the highest marks in the district in the Science, Arts, and Commerce streams of the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha +2 Annual Examination 2026 were felicitated today by District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Sahu at the Ashok Mehta Conference Hall in Nabarangpur.

In the Science stream, Samiksha Rani Mali, a student of Karchamal SSD Girls’ Higher Secondary School under Kosagumuda block, secured the first position in the district by scoring 558 marks (98%).

Similarly, in the Arts stream, divyang (differently-abled) student Tikesh Sahu of Panabeda Higher Secondary School under Chandahandi block secured 535 marks (89.16%).
In the Commerce stream, Rajesh Nag, a student of Dhodipani Higher Secondary School, brought pride to the district by scoring 548 marks (91.33%).

On this occasion, District Collector Dr. Sahu encouraged the meritorious students and wished them a bright future. He stated that these students are a source of inspiration for others. Officials from various departments also congratulated the students for bringing recognition to the district at the state level.
The District Collector honored the students by presenting them with certificates of appreciation, gifts, and mementos.
Among those present at the felicitation ceremony were PA, ITDA Rajee Sahu; District Welfare Officer Rabindra Pa; District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu; District Information and Public Relations Officer Manoj Behera; Additional District Welfare Officers Bharat Chandra Sahu and Nibedita Biswal, along with the students’ parents and principals of the concerned schools.
The felicitation programme was organized and conducted by the District Welfare Department.
