Minister Krushna Chandra Patra Urges Farmers to Register Before August 31 Deadline, Directs Submission of Required Documents at PACS and LAMPS

Bhubaneswar,  Aug 27 [UDN}:More than 7 lakh farmers in Odisha have already completed their registration for the upcoming Kharif season. The registration process is being carried out to ensure that farmers can avail themselves of the benefits of government procurement and other agricultural support measures during the Kharif Marketing Season.
State Agriculture and Food Supplies Minister Krushna Chandra Patra has advised all eligible farmers who are yet to register to complete the process by August 31. Farmers have been asked to visit their respective Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) and Large Area Multipurpose Cooperative Societies (LAMPS) and submit all the required documents for registration within the stipulated deadline.
The Minister urged farmers not to wait until the last moment and to ensure that their registration details and supporting documents are accurate and complete. The registration is important for farmers who intend to participate in the government’s paddy procurement process during the Kharif season.
Farmers have therefore been encouraged to approach their nearest PACS or LAMPS at the earliest, carry all necessary documents, and complete their registration before August 31, so that they do not face difficulties later in selling their agricultural produce through the official procurement system.
