Jharsuguda:, June 25 {UDN}: On the occasion of the successful completion of the Odisha Government’s second year in office, a special programme was organized at Kirmira under the theme “Bikashara Dhara, Odisha Sara” (The Stream of Development Across Odisha).
The event was attended by Jharsuguda MLA Tankadhar Tripathy as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, the legislator highlighted the various welfare-oriented initiatives and development programmes being implemented by the state government. He emphasized the need to make these developmental schemes more people-oriented and accessible so that citizens can fully benefit from them. He also called upon all stakeholders to work together to ensure that the benefits of development reach every corner of Odisha.
Among the distinguished guests present at the programme were Block Vice-Chairperson Sabitri Majhi, Block Development Officer (BDO) Abhinash Lakra, and Additional Block Development Officer Kshireswari Kalo. They shared their views on the government’s developmental efforts and stressed the importance of public participation in ensuring the success of welfare programmes.
The event also witnessed the active participation of Kirmira Sarpanch Santoshini Patel, Jharmunda Sarpanch Asha Singh, MP Representative Bijayi Sharma, and BPC Chandini Behera, who played significant roles in organizing and coordinating the programme.
Several local leaders and public representatives attended the function, including Mandal President Uddhab Singh Naik, Babula Kisan, Jhasaketan Pradhan, Yaminikanta Naik, Sandeep Patel, and Pradeep Kisan. Their presence reflected strong community support for the government’s development agenda.
In addition, a large number of local residents participated in the programme. Among them were Shubham Sahu, Bikram Kisan, Giridhari Pandey, Alok Sahu, Anshul Agrawal, Pawan Sharma, Hemant Jamdhulia, and many others.
The programme served as a platform to showcase the achievements of the state government over the past two years and to create greater public awareness about various welfare and development initiatives. The speakers reiterated that sustained cooperation between government agencies, local representatives, and citizens is essential for ensuring inclusive growth and bringing the benefits of development to every household across Odisha.
