27th March 2025: National Aluminium Company Limited (Nalco) has donated ₹10.10 crore to Saheed Laxman Nayak (SLN) Medical College & Hospital in Koraput to enhance its healthcare facilities. The cheque was handed over by Nalco’s executive director Niranjan Samal to the District Collector V Keerthi Vasan on March 19.
The funds will be used to acquire advanced medical equipment and resources, improving care across various hospital departments. This contribution is expected to strengthen the hospital’s role in providing essential healthcare to tribal communities in the region, addressing the challenges posed by limited resources and geographical barriers.
