Nandahandi, Sept 2 [UDN}:On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Nandahandi Block Development Officer (BDO) Kshirod Chandra Sahu of Nabarangpur district visited the local Community Health Centre (CHC) and reviewed the healthcare facilities and overall functioning of the hospital.
During his visit, he interacted with doctors, patients and their family members. He also inspected the Jan Aushadhi counter, the availability of medicines, various registers and other essential facilities at the health centre.
Later, the BDO visited the maternity ward and interacted with new mothers. He advised that every child, whether a boy or a girl, should receive equal care, affection and love. He also reviewed the hospital’s sanitation and cleanliness arrangements, along with various other aspects of patient care.
Mr. Sahu said that the visit had become a special and memorable moment for him. In a heartwarming gesture, he lovingly referred to the newborn baby girls born at the hospital as ‘Lakshmi’ and celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan with them.
According to Mr. Sahu, the innocent smiles of these newborn sisters made the occasion even more special and memorable.
