Bhubaneswar, June 8: The Government of Odisha has approved three significant textile and apparel projects during the 147th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting, marking a major step toward strengthening the state’s industrial and employment landscape.

The approved projects include an apparel manufacturing unit by Nandraj Textiles Private Limited in Khordha, a knitted garments manufacturing unit by Shahi Exports Private Limited in Sambalpur, and an integrated textile project by Maa Taratarini Textile Park Private Limited in Ganjam.
Collectively, these projects are expected to generate over 12,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities across Odisha, significantly contributing to job creation and skill development in the textile sector.
Officials noted that the approved investments reflect growing investor confidence in Odisha’s industrial ecosystem and its supportive policy environment. The projects are also expected to enhance the state’s textile production capacity and strengthen its position as an emerging hub for apparel manufacturing in India.
The government highlighted that the initiatives will help promote balanced regional development by creating employment opportunities in Khordha, Sambalpur, and Ganjam districts, while also supporting ancillary industries linked to the textile value chain.
With these approvals, Odisha continues to attract large-scale investments in manufacturing, reinforcing its commitment to industrial growth, employment generation, and sustainable economic development.
