Odisha Faces Rising Temperatures, Severe Heatwave Expected

Bhubaneswar, March 27: Odisha is experiencing a significant rise in temperatures, with many regions nearing 40°C. By March 30, temperatures are expected to reach as high as 42°C, intensifying the ongoing heatwave.

Cities like Bhadrak, Jharasuguda, Sambalpur, and Hirakud recorded highs around 39°C, while Bhubaneswar and Cuttack saw 36°C. The Regional Meteorological Centre predicts the heat will continue for the next week, with temperatures expected to climb even higher.

Residents have been advised to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged sun exposure as the heatwave continues to affect the state.
