Odisha Government Hands Over OAV Administration to District Education Officers to Ensure Better Monitoring and Effective School Management

BhubaneswarAug 4 [UDN}: The District Education Officers (DEOs) have been assigned the responsibility of being the district-level administrative and management heads of the Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas (OAVs) and Odisha Mining Adarsha Vidyalayas (OMAVs) operating across the state.
The DEOs will monitor the smooth functioning of daily administrative activities. They will regularly visit the campuses and review the academic and administrative performance of the schools. They will also conduct review meetings regarding staff attendance, discipline, and the safety and security of students.
The principals of the schools will report to the respective DEOs. For resolving any major administrative issues, DEOs can communicate with the headquarters authorities.
The School and Mass Education Department Secretary has issued a letter informing all DEOs about the new responsibilities.
