Bhubaneswar, July 24 (UDN): Veteran freedom fighter and President of the State Freedom Fighters’ Association, Bimbadhar Muduli, passed away on Thursday while undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. He was 102 years old.
A native of Kendrapara district, Muduli was widely respected for his contribution to India’s freedom movement and his lifelong dedication to public service. Even in his advanced age, he remained actively associated with the freedom fighters’ community and continued to work for their welfare.
Muduli was recently elected as the President of the State Freedom Fighters’ Association, where he served as a representative voice for fellow freedom fighters and their families.
The news of his demise has cast a pall of gloom across Odisha, with people from various sections paying tribute to his extraordinary life and service to the nation.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed deep sorrow over Muduli’s passing. In his condolence message, the Chief Minister praised his immense contribution to the nation and said his selfless service would always be remembered in history.
Muduli’s life remains an inspiration, reflecting the values of patriotism, dedication, and commitment to the country. His contributions to India’s freedom struggle and public life will continue to be remembered by generations.
