Bhubaneswar: Sept 21 [UDN}:Direct air connectivity between Bhubaneswar and Bangkok is set to resume from October 2, bringing back an international flight service from Biju Patnaik International Airport after a temporary suspension.
Bhubaneswar Airport Director Prasanna Pradhan informed that the flight service to Bangkok will restart from October 2. According to the airport authorities, the service will operate twice a week.
The direct international connectivity had been suspended for certain reasons, and arrangements have now been made to resume the service. The restart is expected to provide an additional travel option for passengers travelling between Odisha and Thailand, including tourists, business travellers and other international passengers.
The resumption of the Bangkok service is also expected to strengthen Bhubaneswar’s international air connectivity and provide greater convenience to passengers from Odisha and neighbouring regions who travel to Thailand and other destinations through Bangkok.
Airport authorities are preparing for the resumption of operations from October 2, with the twice-weekly service expected to cater to passenger demand on the Bhubaneswar-Bangkok route.
