Bhubaneswar, Sept. 4 (UDN): In a major boost to the state’s agricultural sector, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will release the fifth installment of financial assistance under the CM-KISAN Scheme (Rabi 2026–27) today through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

More than 41 lakh farmer families across the state are expected to benefit from the initiative. The financial assistance will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of small and marginal farmers, Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), and landless agricultural families.
The state government said the scheme reflects its continued commitment to strengthening the agricultural economy, improving farmers’ livelihoods, and promoting self-reliance in the farming community. It reiterated that efforts to ensure the welfare and prosperity of farmers will remain a key priority under its agriculture-focused development agenda.
