Odisha Tourism Department Reviews Project Progress and Future Plans

Bhubaneswar, May 23, 2025: The Department of Tourism held its weekly review meeting today at the Tourism Bhavan, focusing on the current status of various development projects and financial expenditures. The meeting also discussed strategic plans for upcoming initiatives aimed at enhancing tourism infrastructure and services across the state.

The session was chaired by the Principal Secretary of the Tourism Department, Mr. Balwant Singh. Also in attendance were Director of Tourism Mrs. Manasi Nimbhal and other senior officials.

Key points of discussion included progress updates on ongoing projects, assessment of fund utilization, and the resolution of implementation challenges. Emphasis was placed on improving project execution through better coordination and timely interventions.

Mr. Singh urged officials to maintain transparency and ensure adherence to deadlines while working towards the department’s broader vision of making Odisha a leading travel destination. He highlighted the importance of sustainable development, community participation, and heritage conservation as pillars of the state’s tourism growth.

The weekly review meetings are part of a consistent effort by the department to monitor performance closely, drive accountability, and refine planning for impactful outcomes.
