Malkangiri, June 9: The Congress party has begun intensive preparations to strengthen its organization in Odisha. Senior Congress leader, AICC Secretary and Odisha in-charge Shri Jetty Kusum Kumar visited Malkangiri and reviewed the organizational condition of the party in the district. He also informed that the party is preparing a separate roadmap for the upcoming Panchayat and local body elections as well as the 2029 General Elections.
Following the Congress party’s success in South India, the party leadership is now focusing special attention on Odisha and several other states. In this context, an important review meeting was held regarding the responsibilities of the Malkangiri District Congress Committee, block-level office bearers, and SIR (BLA-1 and BLA-2) members.
According to party leaders, Congress is touring around nine districts of Odisha to strengthen the organization from the grassroots level. Earlier, a similar review was completed in Koraput district, and meetings are also planned in Nabarangpur. The party’s top leadership expressed satisfaction over the organizational condition in Malkangiri district.
The party also made it clear that office bearers who are not actively working would be replaced, and opportunities would be given to new and young faces. Party leaders stated that under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, a positive atmosphere for Congress is emerging across the country, and they expressed confidence that Congress would form the government in Odisha in the future.
The important meeting was attended by former PCC Vice-President and Special Observer Shri Manoranjan Tripathy, Shri Krishna Kuldeep, Malkangiri District Congress President Shri Srinivas Rao, along with several senior party functionaries and local leaders.
Discussions were also held on correcting the shortcomings and mistakes of previous elections and preparing strategies from now onwards for the party’s return to power in Odisha during the upcoming Panchayat elections and the 2029 elections. It is learned that this review process will continue at the block and constituency levels in the coming days.
