Papadahandi, July 23 UDN}: Sabir Ahmed has joined as the new Officer-in-Charge (IIC) of Maidalpur Police Station under Papadahandi block in Nabarangpur district. On Monday, members of the local Maidalpur Journalists’ Association welcomed and felicitated the newly appointed officer by presenting him with a bouquet.
The new IIC first introduced himself and then asked the journalists present to introduce themselves. During the interaction, the journalists and the police officer held a detailed discussion on various issues concerning the area.
Speaking on the occasion, IIC Sabir Ahmed said that, keeping law and order in mind, he would take necessary steps to curb increasing incidents of theft, robbery, illegal liquor trade, gambling and other anti-social activities in Maidalpur and its adjoining areas. He also assured that he would work towards preventing such activities and ensuring the safety and security of the general public.
Before his new posting at Maidalpur Police Station, Ahmed was serving at Nabarangpur Police Station.
Journalists Kailash Chandra Bishoyi, Sujit Nayak, Akash Bishoyi, Santosh Sahu, Anil Prabhat Bhatra, Nirmal Bishoyi, Bijay Bishoyi, Santosh Harijan, Kishore Bishoyi, Nanda Kumar Bishoyi and Sekhar Harijan were present during the felicitation programme.
