Phulbani, May 12: With the aim of achieving a Tuberculosis-Free India, a health awareness and screening camp was organized at the Phulbani Circle Jail.
As part of the programme, health check-ups and TB screening were conducted for around 82 inmates. Chest X-rays were performed to detect and diagnose tuberculosis among the prisoners, and necessary medical evaluation was carried out.
Officials stated that similar TB awareness and screening programmes will also be conducted in the coming days at the Udayagiri Sub-Jail and Baliguda Sub-Jail.
The programme was attended by TB/HIV Coordinator of the District Headquarters Hospital Sunil Kumar Patra, District PPM Coordinator Amit Bishoyi, Anita Ray, Jail Superintendent Satyaprakash Sahu, the Jailor, and other staff members.
