PM Vishwakarma Scheme Marks Three Years Since Launch, Aims to Empower Traditional Craftspeople and Promote Their Livelihoods

Delhi, Oct 3 [UDN}:  The PM Vishwakarma Scheme has completed three years today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the scheme in 2023 with the objective of supporting traditional artisans and craftspeople and strengthening their livelihoods.

Since its launch, the scheme has attracted significant participation, with more than 30 lakh beneficiaries now registered under the PM Vishwakarma programme. The initiative provides support to eligible traditional artisans through measures aimed at improving their skills, access to tools, credit and market opportunities.

The completion of three years marks another milestone in the implementation of the scheme, which seeks to promote and strengthen India’s traditional craftsmanship and the livelihoods of artisans associated with various trades.
