Preparations begin in Puri as Akshaya Tritiya marks the auspicious start of Rath construction

Puri., April 17:  On the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya (April 20), preparations will begin for the world-famous Rath Yatra in Puri.
The construction of the chariots (Rath Nirman) will officially start on this day.
The Rathakhala (chariot construction yard) is currently being prepared by the traditional Bhoi servitors.
This year, the entire Rathakhala will be under CCTV surveillance to ensure smooth and timely construction.
According to Puri Collector Dibya Jyoti Parida:
A total of 12 CCTV cameras, including advanced PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras, will be installed at the Rathakhala.
The aim is to complete the chariot construction smoothly and ahead of schedule.
Additionally, from Akshaya Tritiya, the sacred Chandan Yatra of Lord Jagannath will also commence.
These preparations mark the beginning of one of the grandest धार्मिक festivals, attracting millions of devotees every year.
