Puri, July 17 (UDN): A much-awaited moment in the grand Rath Yatra celebrations arrived as Lord Jagannath’s Nandighosa chariot reached Saradhabali near the Gundicha Temple, bringing joy and devotion among millions of devotees gathered in Puri.

The arrival of the Nandighosa chariot marked the completion of the sacred journey of the three chariots. Earlier, Lord Balabhadra’s Taladhwaja and Devi Subhadra’s Darpadalana chariots had reached the Gundicha Temple area.
As Nandighosa arrived at Saradhabali, the atmosphere across the Grand Road and the surrounding areas was filled with chants of “Jai Jagannath”, creating a deeply spiritual and festive environment. Thousands of devotees expressed their happiness after witnessing the arrival of Lord Jagannath’s chariot.
Lakhs of pilgrims had gathered to catch a glimpse of the revered deity and be part of the centuries-old tradition. The completion of the chariot journey brought an end to the long wait of devotees who had been eagerly awaiting this sacred occasion.
The district administration continued to maintain elaborate security and crowd management arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the festival and provide a safe experience for pilgrims.
The arrival of Nandighosa once again highlighted the spiritual significance of Puri Rath Yatra, one of the world’s largest religious festivals, bringing together faith, tradition and devotion on a grand scale.
