Review Meeting of Contractors Organized in Nandapur–Lamtaput Area Focuses on Infrastructure Project Progress

Nandapur, April 23: A discussion meeting of contractors from Nandapur and Lamtaput blocks was held on Sunday at Kantasaru village under Balda Panchayat.
More than 30 contractors from both blocks participated in the meeting. During the discussion, members expressed dissatisfaction over issues such as the tender process in various government departments, rising prices of construction materials, and the dominance of contractors from outside regions.
The participants demanded that all departments strictly implement the earlier rule of allowing a minimum of 14.99% lower bidding in the tender process. They also unanimously decided to oppose the government’s new unlimited tender system.
It was further resolved to form an association comprising contractors from both blocks. Senior contractor B. Seemanchal Choudhury was nominated as the working president, while Ashok Sahu was appointed as the secretary of the newly proposed association.
