Sanjukta Parashar Appointed First Woman IG of CRPF CoBRA Unit, Marking Milestone for Women in Security Forces

Bhubaneswar,  Sept 24   [UDN}:  IPS officer Sanjukta Parashar has achieved a historic distinction by being appointed as the first woman Inspector General (IG) of the Central Reserve Police Force’s (CRPF) CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action) unit.

The appointment marks a significant milestone for women officers in India’s security forces and reflects the growing participation of women in senior leadership roles within specialised counter-insurgency and operational units.

Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida congratulated Sanjukta Parashar on her historic achievement and conveyed her best wishes for the new responsibility.
