Kotpad,July 18 [UDN}: A revised edition of the book “Kotpad in the Mirror of History” was unveiled during a literary gathering held at the Gopabandhu Library premises in Kotpad. The book highlights the multifaceted talents and achievements of personalities from various fields associated with Kotpad.
The programme was conducted under the chairmanship of Gopabandhu Library President Ganesh Panda, while the publisher of the book and senior cine actor Prakash Chandra Mohanty coordinated the event and emphasized the importance and objectives of documenting Kotpad’s rich historical and cultural heritage.
Among the distinguished guests were retired teachers Godabarish Acharya and Banshidhar Sasmal, who shared their views on the significance of preserving local history through literature.
On the occasion, several prominent personalities, including Bar Association Vice-President Mukteswar Nayak, Pradeep Kumar Bakshi, Bidyutlata Bakshi, Sanjukta Mahapatra, Hemanta Patra, Ranjan Mahuria, Dayanidhi Patra Bagh, and Ananda Drakshalata, expressed their opinions about the book and appreciated the publisher’s initiative.
Speaking at the event, Kotpad Press Club President Pankaj Kumar Patra stressed the need to strengthen the library movement and cultivate reading habits among the younger generation to create more readers in the future.
